If you
eliminated distractions and interruptions from your life, would you accomplish
more? If you could bring concentrated attention to the activities that
"matter most" in your business, would they be more effective?
And working this way, would you be a better, more effective and inspiring
manager and leader?
If you think the
answers to these questions (above) are yes, then my next question
is -
What is it worth to...
-
break distraction addictions once and for all, whether your weakness is checking your email or taking 'just a second' interruptions - you'll never believe how easy it can be when you have the right system?
-
overcome the "bad habits" you learned and turn your time into high performance time, EASILY for high payoff results without low payoff distractions?
-
be totally relaxed while working, knowing what to do more of and easily sort out what not to spend your time and money on any longer without worries, doubts, and regrets?
-
keep everyone on your team focused (Who cares how much time you save if it doesn't get the best results)?
-
raise your self-esteem and feel so much better about yourself so fast that you'll want to do the same for every member of your team?
-
spot opportunities everywhere and fall madly in love with your business all over again?
-
know exactly how to solve the challenges that show up?
-
consistently turn out your best work?
-
be totally present with family
and friends (no longer worrying about your endless mountain of work)?
-
never again get caught in "overwhelmed"?
If changing your relationship to
time and work means you could create this dream life, and you want that life
for yourself, then I want to share the techniques that have worked for my
clients with you.
How I Accidentally
Became "Time Abundant"...
For the last 19 years
I have been consulting to Avon, Disney, Mattel and entrepreneurial companies
coaching busy professionals, business owners, and leaders. The top 3
reasons they hire me are to improve their productivity, make more money
and have more free time. But, for the last 14 years I have not been
teaching time management strategies. Why not?
When I was running departments
for fast-growing businesses, I kept attending workshops and reading books - looking
for time management and productivity strategies. What I discovered is that most of them
focus 'outward' on time, rather than 'inward' on attention. I started pin-pointing when
they were teaching techniques that were for arm wrestling with time, and those that were
for changing the game itself.
There were systems and
techniques hidden in all that material that work like a charm, (which I'll share with
you in a moment). I started using select parts of what I uncovered and I got
amazing results. It was only after I had assembled these techniques for myself thatI
noticed and unspoken theme:
When I focused on time, I was
always behind the 8-ball because it just kept flowing right on past. When I focused on
my attention, I actually mastered time!
I realized
that over the span of a year, my life had transformed in a miraculous way! I
surveyed a group of 1,327 business owners and I asked them what
they most need help with, and the majority of them said "I don't have
enough time to get everything done" I was puzzled at hearing that . . .
because I realized that I had more time abundance than anyone I knew (and
I know a lot of very successful people).
I had managed
to create a life that has eluded so many people.
As I was
working with business owners, I decided to take a look at exactly how
and why I have so much time abundance in my life, in spite of the
fact that I have a vibrant and busy consulting business myself.
On the spot I
identified several concepts that I live by which I now call the
"Productivity & Time Mastery"
principles. I shared these ideas with clients was stunned.
People were shocked that it was so profound, yet so simple. I have since
taught these concepts to coaching clients and buisiness owners who
appreciate getting the same results for themselves: a doubling and even tripling of
their results in less time!
And now, I want to share them with you.
Principle
#1: Focus On Attention, Not Time
Principle
#2: Set Crystal Clear Goals
Principle
#3: Prioritize What matters Most
Principle
#4: Deflect Distractions & Interruptions
Principle
#5: Leverage The Time, Intellegence & Energy of Others
Principle
#6: Measure What Matters
Principle
#7: Acknowledge Successes, Even The Small Wins
Warning: These Methods
May Make You Feel Very WEIRD (In a Good Way)...
The
beautiful thing about these new techniques is that they create a "total
transformation" of your relationship with time - you become a person who is
naturally "time abundant".
Here
are some side effects of learning and applying these principles....
-
You feel more relaxed, every day
-
You're in "the flow" of life, getting
everything that needs doing 'done'
-
Your work "happens" easily (no more forcing
things, even when you are working on complex challenges)
-
The work you do is far more effective
(every hour of work accomplishes 2 to 3 times what it used to) And...
-
You have more time for play and fun
and the people who matter most to you in your life
So why did I call this
'weird'? Because so much of the day to day drama of your life might disappear - leaving
you and your team with a strange shared sense of peace and calm.

The Only Time
Management Techniques That Actually DO Work For Me AND My Clients (Maybe They'll Work For
You Too)...
Here are the ideas
that I was able to implement that have helped me...
#1: Chunk Your Time -
multi-tasking your way through your day, divide
your time into focused '45-minute' hours. You'll find yourself twice as productive
from this one simple idea.
#2: Narrow Down Your To Do List -
Most people find that when they take an honest look at what they
really will accomplish and get the 'wishes' and 'dreams' off their list they easily
get their must do 'done'. You'll find that you procrastinate far less and you'll make
far more progress on your projects when you have an authentic set of tasks.
#3: Make A Daily List -
If you can get all of your ideas out of your head and
onto a piece of paper, you'll immediately relax and you can identify what must be done
today, rather than tomorrow. You'll have a great sense of accomplishment each time you
cross something off the list.
#4:
Delegate Effectively -
Once you have a list, now you want to
make sure you get the most important things done first. As you can get clear on the
top 3-5 most important things for YOU to work on, you'll spot the tiems that other
people can put at the top of their To Do lists for the day.
#5: Deflect Distractions -
I'll show you a series of quick tips that keep
everyone's attention where it belongs. They're quick to use and powerful for you and
everyone you work with.
#5: Measure What matters -
One of the keys to "Time Mastery"
is having everyone's efforts focused on the right activities. When you work together
to design what you'll measure, you'll have your entire team on the same page -
everyone's efforts pulling in the same direction, to the same goals.
They help, but to be honest,
they aren't what freed me from the rat race of time.
#7: Acknowledge The Wins -
One of the hidden secrets to productivity is letting people know how much they are valued. With each acknowledgement you give, your team will be even more devoted to increasing their own effectiveness and that of their teammates.
